Teens

Teens use the Library at disproportionately high rates compared to other demographics. To inspire curiosity and a lifelong love of learning, educational development must occur outside of school hours, especially as teens begin to make decisions that will impact their futures. Donor investment helps the Library provide online and physical spaces just for teens, providing them with tools that help them feed their curiosity and discover new passions.

Here is what your generosity provides:

  • $14 can buy a teen book. Teens’ interests can be as unique and varied as they are, and they can always get recommendations for the best titles in young adult fiction and non-fiction at the Library.
  • $75 can deliver one session of an online or in-person program for teens.
With everything from activities that explore coding, emerging technologies, digital citizenship, or even building skills for landing their first job, the Library offers a variety of programs designed specifically for teen audiences.
  • $100 can purchase supplies for the Teen Tech Lab. In this creative technology space, teens are encouraged to hang out and learn new skills that will support them in school and beyond.
