Enhance resources for school-age children
School-age Children
“Thank you so much for everything you do. The staff are always great and my little girl is an avid reader with the help of people like them.”
—Frank, Library patron and donor
The Library is the most equitable learning resource outside of the classroom. Thanks to generosity from donors like you, the Library provides an abundance of resources, both in-person and online, ensuring that students are supported from kindergarten through to high school graduation. With more than one million Canadian students reading below grade level, these resources are crucial for success in lifelong learning.
Here is what your generosity can provide:
- $10 buys one Learn to Read reader or decodable book. These books make it easy for young learners to grow their reading skills, helping them build on their success with each page.
- $20 can buy a Kindergarten Book Bag. These book bags include information for parents on school readiness, a free tote bag designed by the Children’s Illustrator in Residence, school-related Library books and school supplies.
- $100 can deliver one in-person tour for a school classroom at a Library location. Classes can visit the Library, introducing students and teachers to free resources that support their learning.
- Increase your gift to $600 and you can cover transportation expenses for the students to the Library location.
