Last month, Calgary Public Library Foundation participated as a benefiting charity in Macquarie’s Calgary Mix-Off charity fundraiser. We’re proud to share that the event raised over $2.5 million. Inclusive of matching from the Macquarie Group, in line with its Non-Profit Support policy, these funds will be used to develop and enhance Calgary Public Library’s programs, services, and spaces. In its eighth year, this annual event had nearly 400 people in attendance and is a testament to what can be accomplished when corporations come together to support the community.

We extend our sincerest thanks to Macquarie’s local staff and clients, along with the broader community, for continuing to support our mission to propel Calgary Public Library to be an inspirational pillar of our community and a global leader in library innovation. More importantly, these unrestricted funds will lend support to impactful and vital Library resources, strengthening community literacy, improving social and mental wellness, and building a sense of belonging.
