This spring, Master’s Academy & College challenged its Grade 5 students to select a charity they were passionate about for an awareness fair at the school.
We received a letter from Chinwe, who chose the Library Foundation because it promotes reading, education and literacy in Calgary for all ages. On a more personal note, when Chinwe and her family moved to Calgary, she took classes at the Library that helped improve her reading skills.
“I enjoy reading and it breaks my heart to know that children in Calgary don’t have the opportunity to learn how to read, write and grow their imagination,” Chinwe said.
We are so grateful to Master’s Academy for recognizing the importance of philanthropy, and want to thank Chinwe for recognizing the critical work of the Calgary Public Library.
