Support Library resources for seniors

Calgary Public Library is a trusted place many older adults turn to for information, connection, and support, and donor generosity helps ensure seniors can continue to find what they need at the Library as they age.

Through the Library, seniors can access support navigating information, technology, and community resources, while also discovering welcoming spaces that reduce isolation and support lifelong learning.

The Library is also a place to build connection. Across Calgary, seniors can participate in programs, access help from staff, and spend time in a safe, inclusive public space without expectation or cost.

As a donor, you can support the Library’s resources for seniors in the way that is most meaningful to you. Here are two ways the Library can use your gift:

  • $50 can help provide accessible reading materials for seniors. Books in large print and other accessible formats help seniors continue to enjoy stories, information, and learning in ways that meet their needs.
  • $100 can support the delivery of a program or learning session for older adults. Programs like Tech Mentors and Seniors’ Drop-In Social Club promote connection, confidence, and digital skills that help seniors stay engaged and independent in their community.
