Buy a book and enhance the Library's collection

A book is so much more than words on paper. Books transport us to new places, reveal different ways to see the world, and help us connect with our community. Your donation puts books directly in the hands of your neighbours!

Here is what your gift can do:

• $10 can buy one children’s board book. Reading as a family from a young age improves language development and school-readiness.
• $21 buys one adult book. Calgarians borrowed 14 million collection items last year.
• $60 can purchase an eBook or Audiobook. The demand for digital books is only expected to increase. Donors help us keep pace!
• $500 can fill an entire shelf with books. Bring the joy of reading to people across the city!
