Calgary Public Library Foundation announces transformational gift supporting children’s library resources

Calgary Public Library Foundation is honoured to announce a significant gift from the Jogia family, supporting children’s programs, services and highest-priority needs at Calgary Public Library. In recognition of their generosity, the children’s library at Signal Hill will be named the Jogia Family Children’s Library.

This act of generosity honours the memory of Pravin Tulsida Jogia, who, after arriving in Canada, built a life defined by hard work, integrity, and service to others. Through decades of leadership and entrepreneurship within the South Asian community, he earned deep respect, inspired countless individuals, and strengthened bonds of understanding and opportunity. His commitment to education, learning and community enrichment is reflected in this gift’s intent: to sustain the Library as a place where young minds can discover, imagine, and grow.

As avid readers, lifelong learners, and longtime Library supporters, the Jogias view libraries as vital public institutions, and their gift demonstrates their belief in the opportunities the Library provides for learning and personal growth.

Through this gift, the Jogia family hopes to inspire others to make a difference in the community through the work of Calgary Public Library.
