Many of Calgary Public Library’s programs are made possible thanks to the work of a dedicated team of volunteers from all walks of life. Student volunteers who balance their studies and extracurricular activities with their time as Library volunteers are eligible to apply for the Bright Futures Scholarship, which provides them with support as they embark on the next chapter of their learning journey.
The scholarships, valued at $3,500, $2,000, and $1,000, are made possible by the support of Barbara Killick, a former senior staff member at the Library who understands the positive impact volunteers make on the lives of those in our community.
We’re grateful to all volunteers for being part of the Library’s story and choosing to make the Library part of theirs. Today, we are celebrating the stories of the three Bright Futures Scholarship recipients for 2025: Nikita Saha, Srihitha Yerram, and Gayatri Pathak. Thank you for your commitment to supporting our community through the work of Calgary Public Library. Bright futures indeed lie ahead for each of you!
